I want to appreciate God for his Loving kindness and mercies upon my family, yours and members of GOMI. I thank him for the honor of Life and for allowing us see Today 12th September, 2016, To him be all the Glory.

We are delighted to have you here to participate and share in the Joy of GOMI Family on the Official Opening of her new born Baby. Thanks for Coming. The Fact that many of you travel long distance to be here, show us how important our work is.

Farmers have been urged to plan effectively and see their farms as business entities. They are urged to link the expansive value chain, which feeds agro-allied and other industries, in order to address wastage.

The charge was given by agricultural development experts at a field trip organised by the Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute of Nigeria (ARMTI), Ilorin, for 100 farmers in Ogun and Oyo States, to the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, Oyo State.

HarvestPlus Nigeria facilitated the training on strategies for packaging and marketing products to the final consumers and produce processing, which included a tour of the cassava processing facility in the IITA campus.

The Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, has stressed the need for Nigeria to stop the importation of food items otherwise the price of rice would skyrocket to N40,000 per bag before December. Sen. Lokpobiri who made this known while speaking in Yenagoa during a town hall meeting, disclosed that Nigeria spends about $22B a year on the importation of food.
